FERHAN COOK
Ferhan Cook is a digital innovation strategist, impact investor, entrepreneur and mentor with over 30 years of global experience in technology marketing, electronic publishing, and production of creative events including TED and Media conferences.
Ferhan is a co-founder of M-Spark.org, which is an individually tailored accelerator program for entrepreneurs who focus on solving problems in Education, Health, Agriculture, and Climate through deep technology and applications of it to humanity’s problems. In this capacity she has advised and mentored numerous start-ups in Turkey, in collaboration with Intel, Galata Business Angels, BIC Angels, and Zorlu Imece Program in Turkey since 2015.
Ferhan Cook is an Alumni and an early employee of Apple Inc, where she spent 11 years as Head of Multimedia for Europe and Pacific working from Silicon Valley. She launched her first start-up in Silicon Valley in 1982, which led her to a fascinating career for 11 years at Apple where she pioneered the marketing of Apple’s first Digital Disruption technologies such as Hypercard, and Quicktime VR.
Ferhan Cook currently serves on the Juries of MIT Innovators Under 35 Europe, and Global mobile Awards of GSMA (GLOMO) in Barcelona for AR/VR and Education. Ferhan was also the head of Jury for the Hello Tomorrow Deep Technology Final Competition of 2018.
Ferhan Cook served as a founding member of Galata Business Angels between 2010-2015, as one of the first woman business angels in Turkey. She was also a network member of BIC Angels.
Ferhan graduated from Robert College and Bogazici University and has a Masters Degree from University of Hawaii in USA. She is also a graduate of Singularity University Executive Program based in NASA California in 2015. She lived in the USA, France and UK since 1975. She currently divides her time between Istanbul and London.
