Dünya çapında binlerce başvuru arasından seçilen Türkiye’nin en iyi bilim ve teknoloji tabanlı girişimlerinin sunumlarını dinlediğimiz ve Breakout Ventures kurucu ortağı Dr. Hemai Parthasarathy gibi önemli isimleri ağırladığımız Arkın Çelik’in sunuculuğunda gerçekleşen Hello Tomorrow Turkey Challange bu yıl küresel pandemi şartları nedeniyle 6 Temmuz 2021’de online olarak gerçekleşti.
Türkiye’deki deep tech ekosistemini güçlendirmek ve Hello Tomorrow Challange Türkiye Finalistleri olarak seçilen Türkiye’nin en başarılı startuplarını ekosisteme tanıtarak deep tech alanında önemli yeniliklere öncülük eden liderleri ekosistemimiz ile buluşturma amacı taşıdığımız etkinliğimizde Hello Tomorrow Challange Türkiye Finalistleri, teknolojilerini ve ekiplerini anlattıkları sunumları ile yer aldı. Girişim sunumlarından sonra uzman kişilerden oluşan değerli jüri ekibimiz girişimcilerle soru-cevap seansı gerçekleştirdi.

(Runner-Up), EyeCheckup! Körlüğü ve görme kaybını önlemek için yapay zeka tabanlı bir erken teşhis sistemi olan EyeCheckup, retina fotoğraflarından görmeyi tehdit eden yaklaşık 20 kadar hastalığı tespit eden ve önleyici tedbirler almak için insanları erkenden göz doktorlarına yönlendiren patentli AI tabanlı bir yazılım sunuyor.
Etkinlikte; EVNX.Live kurucusu ve ifade tasarımcısı Arkın Çelik’in açılış konuşmasının ardından HTT Kurucusu Timur Topalgökçeli bizlere Türkiye’deki deep tech ekosisteminin gelişiminden ve şu anki konumundan bahsederken Hello Tomorrow Türkiye’nin Türkiyedeki deep tech ekosistemine katkıları hakkında önemli bilgiler verdi. Programın Keynote Speaker’ı Breakout Ventures kurucu ortağı Dr. Hemai Parthasarathy ‘‘Revolution vs. Evolution in Deep Tech’’ konulu konuşmasında Deep Tech’in toplumsal ihtiyaçlara cevap verdiğini ve Deep Tech girişimcisi olmanın tam zamanı olduğunu söyleyerek dünyanın Deep Tech girişimcilerine ihtiyacı olduğunu belirtti. TEB Girişim Evi’den Fatih Canan, Enqura Information Technologies’den Metin Karabiber ile gerçekleştirilen Fireside Chat seansının ardından TED Üniversitesi Araştırma, Teknoloji ve İnovasyon Direktörü Dr. Sanem Yalçıntaş moderatörlüğünde Shibumi International’dan Leonid Astrin ve Arçelik Global’den Pınar Köse Kulacz ile yatırımcı paneli gerçekleştirildi.

Başlat Programı Demo Day Facebook ve Hello Tomorrow Türkiye iş birliğiyle hayata geçirilen Akıllı Şehirler, Dijital Sağlık, Tarım Teknolojileri, Eğitim Teknolojileri ve Veri & Siber Güvenlik kategorilerindeki teknoloji startuplarını geliştirmeyi hedefleyen BAŞLAT Akademi; 2021 mezunlarını için 6 Temmuz 2021’de BAŞLAT Programı Demo Day Etkinliğini düzenledi.
Etkinlikte açılış konuşmasını yapan Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, girişimcilik alanında son 5 yılda yükselişte olan alanların ileri imalat ve robotik, blok zincir, yapay zeka, büyük veri ve analitiği, tarım teknolojileri ve gıda alanları olduğunu belirtti ve Başlat Akademi girişimlerinin sadece Türkiye’de değil, küresel boyutta da sürdürülebilir kalkınma (BM 2030) hedefleri ile paralel girişimler olduğunu söyleyerek BAŞLAT Akademi 2021 girişimlerine teşekkürlerini iletti.

COP26 Climate Change Awareness and Technology Solutions Closing Event | 22 April 2021
At the closing event on 22 April (World Earth Day), Hello Tomorrow Turkey gathered climate change experts from international research centers and universities such as the Grantham Institute, London School of Economics, Imperial College, Columbia University, South Pole Climate Finance Advisory and SHURA Energy Transformation Center as well as deep tech startups from UK, Canada, Turkey such as Agora Energy Technologies (CO2 redox flow battery), Episome Biotechnologies (eco-friendly enzyme solutions) and Faradai (SaaS/IoT) that develop solutions to fight climate change presented concrete examples of such technologies. The conference also featured concrete examples of climate change activist actions to help against environmental pollution and further agricultural sustainability. At the same time, the report prepared for climate change by Hello Tomorrow Turkey during the project was presented. The event was held in English and Turkish simultaneous translation was available.

Hello Tomorrow Turkey Challenge | Novotel Karaköy | 13 January 2020
The main concept of the Hello Tomorrow Turkey Challenge, which we held in Novotel Karaköy on January 13, 2020, was to introduce the most successful startups selected from Turkey for the Hello Tomorrow Global Challenge to the ecosystem and as well as to bring together the leaders who pioneered groundbreaking innovations in the field of deep tech with our ecosystem.
Based on this concept and goal, Dr Anita Sengupta, former NASA JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory) lead engineer and founder of ASX (Airspace Experience Technologies) took part in our event with her speech on “The Future of Flight”. At the same time, we hosted the CEO of Turkey’s leading companies in our panel on “The Future of Technology Entrepreneurship in Turkey”. Arkın Çelik, who gave inspirational speech on “How deep tech will become a reality for you?”and hosted the event, was with us at our event where we were beaming into the future.

On 27 November 2019, we held an event with the ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Istanbul / The Austrian Trade Commission Istanbul and the Austrian Angel Investors Association. 10 Austrian angel investors, including angel investors who have made 9 exits, came to Istanbul at our invitation to explore the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Turkey. In addition, iyzico Co-Founder Barbaros Özbuğutu gave some advice by telling the success story of his initiative. It was very proud of us to be part of such an organization.

Four panels were carried out within the scope of “Women Leaders in Clean Energy, Science and Technology Conference” organized on October 22nd in collaboration with Sabanci University Istanbul International Energy and Climate Center (IICEC) and Sabanci University Corporate Governance Forum (CGFT). The panels, which featured leading figures from Turkey and the worldwide as speakers, included successful strategies and experience of women leaders focused on clean energy, science and technology. In our event attended by important figures such as Guler Sabanci, Melanie Kenderdine, Martha Broad, Netra Gowda, Bel Pesce, it was spoken about the importance of women participation in the workforce at clean energy, science and technology.
