Our “Hello Tomorrow” adventure started with a presentation by Timur Topalgökçeli. During this presentation, we learned very interesting things about this community and we started to investigate. We could not even imagine that the presentation of Mr.Topalgökçeli, who mentioned how they shaped the world of the future, would bring us to these points. After the presentation we reviewed the previous works of Hello Tomorrow community and we decided to see this community closely and apply to HTGlobalSummit2019. Right after our application was accepted, we received information from our instructors about what we should do. So we started waiting for the Global Summit day.
We were very excited on the first day of the event because we were going to participate in an environment and event that we would see for the first time. We were also a little concerned that we thought the environment might be too tense but after reaching the conference hall, we realized that this was not the case. We took the event program and discussed on the speakers, contestants and companies that we should definitely listen to. The presentations made by the speakers and the companies were well above the level we anticipated and this was a very good motivation for us. The first day of the event was spent getting to know the environment and getting used to the event, but on the second day it was much more efficient. There were projects and companies in the field of healthcare, which is our study of interest. We have fullfilled our program in order to listen as many speakers as possible to benefit from such a program as much as possible and so we had an amazing time. The presentations of the startup companies in the Global Healthcare area were the most noticeable projects for us. Because there were projects focused on solving the health problems of large masses. The projects in the Digital Health area showed concrete evidence of how the future of healthcare technologies would be shaped. The project that attracted us the most was about printing a text without using the hands due to the blinking of the letters with the brain neurons by MindAffect. In the “Agriculture” field there was a project by NanomatTR which was a Turkish startup. They were focused on the production of materials, high-tech additives and functional surface coatings. This solution was so impressive for the agriculture field. Another fascinating project was a sensor to track balance walking and motion by Vitrue Health. The project attracted our attention because we took a lecture about biomechanics this semester.
Panels in space and mobility have greatly improved our vision. It was an incredible experience to listen to the work done in a different area. It was also very important for us to meet different investors, students and company officials during the event. On the last day, we were delighted that the winning company was RxAll, which was our favorite company on the Challenge Stage.Their project was called “Nanoscanner identifying drugs in real-time”. It was a solution for large audiences.
Our adventure in Hello Tomorrow was much more enjoyable than we expected, and it gave us a lot more than we expected. We want to thank the Hello Tomorrow Turkey team that whom we met at the airport and formed us a very sincere atmosphere through the entire event. It was an invaluable experience for us to see a community that works so devotedly to guide the future and guiding the projects. We sincerely suggest that anyone who is curious about the technologies of the future should be awared of this community.
