4500 applications from 119 countries were submitted for the “Hello Tomorrow Global Challenge”, world’s most comprehensive international deep tech entrepreneurship competition which included the Turkish Finals for the first time in 2018.
Competition winner 12 Turkish startups contested at Hello Tomorrow Turkey Finals held on December 11, 2018, in four main disciplines closely related to our country, “Energy and Environment”, “Healthcare and Biotechnology”, “Industry and New Materials” and “Data and Artificial Intelligence”. In addition to the 12 startups, 7 other startups believed to add value to the deep tech startup ecosystem in Turkey had the opportunity to explain themselves to international investors and jury members and present their startups at the Hello Tomorrow Turkey Finals.
The main concept of the Hello Tomorrow Turkey Challenge, which we held in Novotel Karaköy on January 13, 2020, was to introduce the most successful startups selected from Turkey for the Hello Tomorrow Global Challenge to the ecosystem and as well as to bring together the leaders who pioneered groundbreaking innovations in the field of deep tech with our ecosystem.
Based on this concept and goal, Dr Anita Sengupta, former NASA JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory) lead engineer and founder of ASX (Airspace Experience Technologies) took part in our event with her speech on “The Future of Flight”. At the same time, we hosted the CEO of Turkey’s leading companies in our panel on “The Future of Technology Entrepreneurship in Turkey”. Arkın Çelik, who gave inspirational speech on “How deep tech will become a reality for you?”and hosted the event, was with us at our event where we were beaming into the future.
