BAŞLAT LLM Impact Program 2025
The BAŞLAT Program, launched by Meta and Hello Tomorrow Türkiye in 2020, focused on early-stage startups developing solutions in fields such as health, education, agriculture, smart cities, and cybersecurity until 2024. With the rapid advancement of technology, in 2024, we aimed to explore the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence and open source innovation by making a shift in our focus. In this direction, with the participation of the Türkiye Artificial Intelligence Initiative (TRAI) team as a new stakeholder, we launched the BAŞLAT LLM Impact Program. Our program aimed to provide support to startups based on large language models (LLM) offering open source solutions. This year, with the same enthusiasm, the BAŞLAT LLM Impact Program will continue its journey with new startups.
After the hybrid process consisting of training and mentorships for the startups selected as a result of the applications, the BAŞLAT LLM Impact Program Demo Day will take place with the participation of various ecosystem partners and public institutions on October 23, 2025, at the Türkiye Artificial Intelligence Summit. Throughout the program, startups will be supported in accessing potential investment opportunities, expanding their capacity to reach new customers, and strategic partnerships.
What is the BAŞLAT LLM Impact Program?
Paving the Way for Development
During the program, it is aimed to support the potential of Turkish startups to export and expand abroad, their access to possible investment opportunities, their potential to reach new customers, and their strategic partnerships by bridging between startups and investors.
Correct Guidance and Support
As a result of the applications, selected initiatives are provided with training on various subjects from national and international experts in their field, as well as one-on-one mentoring tailored to their technical needs throughout the program.
Unique Network Access
The BAŞLAT LLM Impact Program Demo Day will be held at the Türkiye Artificial Intelligence Summit on October 23, 2025, with the participation of public institutions and various ecosystem partners. Additionally, startups applying to the program will have the chance to join the Deep Tech Pioneers community, which is established for the best deep tech startups from around the world.
Application Criteria
The startups to be accepted into the program;
Being a legally established and ongoing business entity in Türkiye,
Consists of a team of at least 2 people,
Being ready to receive investment at the Series A level,
It should have successfully done at least one POC (suitable for reference check from the customer)
The use of generative artificial intelligence, natural language processing, or large language models to offer an innovative product or service,
The use of Llama or a similar infrastructure to realize products and services, and/or the ability of these products and services to be integrated into the Llama infrastructure,
Adherence to ethical AI principles and having awareness of responsible AI,
is required.
Offered Opportunities
Trainings
The startups selected for the BAŞLAT program will be supported with weekly training sessions from instructors on various topics such as patents, generative artificial intelligence & intellectual property, software law, human resources management, investor expectations & investment readiness.
Mentorship
During the program, the needs of startups in innovation, marketing, R&D, finance, and technical issues will be met through one-on-one mentorships from experts in the field.
Demo Day
Startups that complete the education and mentorship processes by being selected for the program will have the opportunity to present at the Demo Day, which will be held at the Türkiye Artificial Intelligence Summit, where high-level public institutions and corporate companies will be involved.
