Timur Topalgoekceli is an energy systems modeler turned deep tech entrepreneur specialised in commercialising disruptive technologies from the lab to the market.He is the co-founder & COO of Abundance Gate, a deep tech company focused on molecular biology, providing 19.000 m2 of state of the art biosafety level (BSL) 1 and 2 lab space, lab-to-market advisory, and a venture capital fund for cutting-edge biotech, agritech, and foodtech startups.Previously, he was founder & CEO of Hello Tomorrow Türkiye, an emerging market deep tech pioneer that built a community of 7,000 innovators and helped commercialise over 400 technologies. Formerly at the IEA’s Chief Economist's Office in Paris, he worked on supply-side modelling and co-authored 12 publications, including the flagship World Energy Outlook, advising ministers, CEOs and leading international fora, including the World Economic Forum (WEF) at Davos and the G20.In addition, he is a special advisor to the board of Teraloop Oy, a global pioneer in kinetic energy storage (providing energy storage without using rare earth elements) and a Senior Advisor to Hydroplane Ltd., a global pioneer developing a hydrogen fuel cell power plant for aviation and aerospace applications.Timur holds a BSc from the London School of Economics and an MPA from Harvard University. In 2019, he was selected as Atlantic Council Millennium Fellow, alongside 20 rising global leaders selected from over 100 countries who will shape the 21st century. He is a Harvard Innovation Labs Spark Grants Winner and an MIT 100k Finalist.
