Yasemin Somuncu
Yasemin Somuncu is an architect and consultant specializing in energy efficiency and sustainable architecture. She holds a Master’s degree in Environment and Energy from the Architectural Association School of Architecture (AA), London, and is a certified Passive House Designer and Trainer (PHI, Germany).
She has led and contributed to multiple EU and international projects (NEED4B, BRICKER, NEW GENERATION, NEXT-GEN) and currently works as an independent consultant on sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives supported by the EU, World Bank, and Canada Fund.
In 2023, Somuncu served as a Mentoring Expert at İzmir Technology Development Zone, guiding start-ups in internationalization, investor dialogue, marketing strategies, and patent development. She has also taken part in numerous voluntary mentoring programs, supporting young entrepreneurs and start-ups in sustainability, innovation, and clean energy solutions.
She is the Secretary General of EYODER, Coordinator of the Sustainable Buildings Network of Türkiye (SEPEV), and Co-Chair of WiRE (Women in Renewable Energy) Türkiye.
