Launch of the Future of Smart Cities | French Palace | May 22, 2017

Hello Tomorrow Turkey

Hello Tomorrow, which included Turkey in the global events chain for the first time last year, said hello to Turkey with its organization themed "The Future of Energy." This year, they are continuing their work under the theme of "Smart Cities." In this context, on the evening of May 22, a launch for the "Future of Smart Cities" themed Hello Tomorrow Turkey event, which will take place in November, was also held at the historic Beyoğlu French Palace with the participation of French Ambassador Charles Fries.

Ambassador Fries, recalling that Istanbul is one of the 10 cities worldwide designated by Hello Tomorrow, stated, "Hello Tomorrow chose Istanbul because it is one of the significant players in the world of innovation. Just walking through the streets of Istanbul or entering a shop is enough to see the connection among people or to understand how advanced financial systems are. France and Turkey can benefit from their strong and historical cooperation to play a significant role in the new industrial revolution. The industrial partnership between our countries is the cornerstone of our economic relations. This industrial partnership should also encompass talent and entrepreneurship exchange. We must encourage collaboration in trade and research," he said.

This year, under the moderation of Timur Topalgökçeli, Founding President of Hello Tomorrow Turkey, a panel was held addressing the projects of organizations like İSBAK, TAV, World Resources Institute, and Evreka, which work on the theme of "Smart Cities" and their impacts on society.
